Our company, “Sairam,” represents the intersection of creativity and the sincere appreciation of art. Our mission is to provide creators with a platform to share their art and to give everyone else the opportunity to experience it. Through our comprehensive suite of multimedia, music distribution, and film production services, as well as our music streaming app, we strive to support the growth and development of the Nepalese creative industries and to bring the best of Nepalese talent to the world.
Sairam was founded in the early 2000s as a VHS, CD, and DVD rental shop in Newroad, Kathmandu. In the initial years of business, Sairam operated as retailers for audio cassettes, film discs, and VHS. However, in late 2002, the company began actively acquiring Nepalese feature films and producing studio albums. Sairam distributed and produced Nepalese films on VHS, CDs, and DVDs in the Nepalese territory, and also exported some films to countries like the United States, India, and the United Kingdom.
In 2014, the Nepalese market faced a shift to digital platforms, and Sairam has been actively integrating its business digitally in all verticals ever since. The company began working with YouTube and other streaming services to deliver Nepalese content worldwide. In 2016, Sairam partnered with a foreign music distribution company to deliver content on digital service providers (DSPs).
Since then, Sairam has been successfully operating a music recording facility, a record label for neo- musical genres, and a film production crew in Kathmandu.
